Ericsson Globe Arena VIP experience

MusicPartner enjoying the very best of nights.. VIP for Rihanna @ Ericsson Globe Arena.

Phil Hopkin from MusicPartner attended the Rihanna show on opening night at the wonderful Ericsson Globe arena in Stockholm. An amazing dinner with Niklas Nestlander ( Head of sales and business developmemt) in the V.A Lounge and great detailed discussion about how music is used as a force in many modern business models. AEG facilities are very keen to incorporate audio branding into their stadiums and arenas and we both entered the main arena ready for Rihanna with even more excitment about musical possibilities.

Rihanna entered stage at approximatley 21.30 with the crowd already pumping from the DJ set delivered from stage by touring support act Calvin Harris.

If you like concerts to be a REAL show stopper then this was the night to visit. It had everything you would want from a modern day star performer. Set changes.. Clothes changes (that would put Judy garland to shame..) all the hits including a raunchy cover of Darling Nikki by Prince.

The audience was on its feet from her grand entrance right through to the very last encore. A real night to remember. On leaving the arena it started to pour down with rain.... if only we had remembered to bring our Umbrella!!!
